All wrapped up

Thought I'd show off I few gifts I made for Christmas.

The girl is a stencilled tshirt. She's a freezer paper stencil, and I got the image from this public domain site. The tshirt is dark teal, although in the pictures it looks black. I love doing freezer paper stencils, it's an easy process with great looking results.

The first purse I've ever sewn. I used Simplicity pattern 8331 E, but I skipped the more boxy shape and pleats in their finished bag because I liked how it looked before I got to the end of the pattern directions.

I also made a pair of knitted mukluks from Folk Style, but silly me, the only picture I took was of the "socks" before they got felted, soles sewn on, and embellished. I'm really glad I had learned to make a pair of socks from Getting Started Knitting Socks before I attempted the mukluks or I would have been totally lost. The pattern was clear to follow, but you definately need to have knitted socks before to understand it.
